How do I measure rise in mens pants?

The front rise on a pair of mens pants is the distance between the crotch seam and the front waistband. Getting this measurement right makes a big difference to how your jeans will look and fit. In general, high-rise jeans sit closer to the belly button, mid-rise or standard rise jeans sit at the natural waist and low-rise jeans sit on the hips. The easiest way to measure your ideal pants rise is to take a pair of favourite-fitting jeans or pants and lay them on a flat surface. Using a soft tape measure, measure the distance from the centre crotch seam to the top of the front waistband and compare to our size chart.

Is mid rise higher than regular rise?

Mid rise, regular rise, and standard rise fits all mean the same thing when it comes to mens denim sizing. Mid-rise jeans should sit just below your belly button, at the natural waist. Many of our mens styles feature a standard rise because of its versatile wear on all kinds of body shapes. This is a popular fit for men who like to tuck their shirts on occasion.
